Giants

We are never going back to bleacher seats again after this night! Riley somehow scored the luxury seats of the San Francisco Giants Owner (a member at Cypress of course), so we headed up to San Fran to watch the Giants battle the Dodgers on Tuesday night. There's just nothin like a good ol' baseball game in my opinion. Popcorn, hot dogs, The National Anthem, 7th inning stretch, and of course singing "take me out to The Ball game" at the top of our lungs. Great times.

Yard Work Part 2

Rileys Parents came up this past week to help (okay more like DO) more work in the yard! The guys started on the deck, and Sandi and I completed the veggie garden! Of course it was a wopping 96 degrees as the guys were sweating buckets and Sandi and I were knee deep in compost, but it was fun. The kids had fun too getting in the action, and of course took more than a few slip and slide breaks!

Easter 2009!

A great day to say the least! It all started with an early morning run to decorate our Church's Easter stage at Seaside High schools football field and a Bagel Bakery run..followed by the kids waking up to their Easter Baskets and bagels, an awesome Easter service outdoors in the Sun where we watched several make their first stand for Christ (literally), and an afternoon over at the Holdridges. The kids enjoyed playing with all 12 other kids present and we adults enjoyed basking in the sun eating lunch and laughing (mostly at our sugar crazed kids!). We made it home around 7, and the kids finished off the day with a warm bath and bed promptly at 8 (: Throughout the Day I kept quizing Tatum on the whole meaning of Easter. She seemed to give me a different answer each time. The first time when I asked "Whats Easter all about Tates?" she responded "its about obeying Jesus."...okay in a way I guess that one could be true. The second time she came back with "Its about easter egg hunts." We were getting colder. After a few more round about answers she finally answered me back "Its about Jesus being alive!" She nailed it (: What a great day celebrating HIM!
