Bradys hideout
Brady since we have moved into this house, has been obsessed with one of our closets that is located halfway up our stairs. Since we kept random dangerous things in there, such as broken umbrellas, hammers and unused lamps, he was constantly being summoned to come down and out of the closet. Yesterday morning, I decided, after retrieving my kicking and screaming toddler from the closet once again, that I would just convert it into his own little hideout. You never know, maybe he's just trying to get a breather away from sis! I caught him in there more than once today just reading away...next is a hideout for mom.

Valentines
Since our Anniversary is March 1st, Riley without fail asks every year"Do you want to just combine Valentines and our anniversary this year?"..and the answer is always no way! Not because Valentines is so meaningful to me or anything, but to me its just an excuse to go out and have a nice dinner. BUT this year when he asked, I agreed, I think because he just booked us a sweet little Vacation to Vegas for our Anniversary in a few weeks! So, we just stayed in, had a little V-day dinner with the kids and exchanged little things like flowers and boxers (: One tradition that I love though is my white hearts that Riley has given me every year for 7 years straight. It all started when we were just "friends" and I was complaining to him one night as we were sitting around eating conversation hearts before I went off to England for school, that I just hated all the colors, but I loved the white ones...a month or so later in England arrived on my doorstep a box filled with all white conversation hearts. He had picked through bags and bags of them and pulled out all the white ones just for me. And any girl knows, these are the best kinds of presents for sure (:
Not your Average grandparents
This week Riley's parents came into town to rescue me from a severe case of cabin fever, as I have been stuck inside with my two sick kids for weeks now. Not so fun-but when they mentioned something about maybe coming to visit, I jumped at the chance to have some company, and some new and definitely "different" entertainment (they really are not your average grandparents! watch the video!) for the kids. I feel so thankful because really, I know its not normal for a wife to actually want, and even look forward to her in-laws coming to visit. I know, I've heard the horror stories. But I guess mine are different. Like this time, they came for the night, Brought the kids and us valentines, ordered us all pizza, whisked the kids away the next day and told me to go shopping by myself, fixed a broken window, did some laundry (Sandi I told you to stop that!), hung out a bit when Riley got home, and then they were off! Who wouldn't like a visit from ma and papa?
